Born and raised in Flushing, Queens, New York City, I graduated from St. John’s University with a
Sports Management degree –
FAR fetched from anything culinary related.
It wasn’t until 2013, several years after moving into the Central Florida area, that I owned my very first mini charcoal grill. It was on that grill where I learned the BBQ basics: chicken wings, hot dogs, burgers, and was able to cater to my family as they visited.
Immediately after my rookie year of grilling, I started to immerse myself with YouTube videos and expanded my backyard BBQ menu – even upgraded my grill a little! However, it really wasn’t until 2017 where my BBQ journey really started to grow.
My love for grilling was not the only thing that started growing, as in early 2017, God Blessed me with an extended family and placed my girlfriend, her kids, family & friends into my life.
God was then able to open my eyes and heart to show me that I can use BBQ to bring our families together. This ignited the start to many fun-filled family & friends’ get-togethers, which still carry on to this day!
Throughout the years of grilling and hosting, I received positive feedback on what I was putting out, and I decided to grow and challenge myself even more! I then invested in my first pellet & drum smokers. When COVID happened, it allowed me to stay at home and practice my craft. This truly expanded my BBQ menu as I introduced the likes of slowly-smoked pulled pork, brisket, ribs, chicken and even my first whole pig! This brings me to where I am today – about to take the biggest risk I have ever taken in my life!
My professional background has been in sports, and within the past 20 years, I have worked in the Front Offices of the Daytona Cubs, Brooklyn Cyclones, Orlando Magic, Orlando Predators, Jacksonville Icemen, Florida Citrus Sports and the Orlando Valkyries. Although I have always loved working in sports and building relationships with clients, I feel that NOW is the time that God is opening the doors for me to build upon what he has already Blessed me with. - an opportunity to start and build my own BBQ experience! One that I can share with the public, in the same manner as when I first started, back on that little charcoal grill with my family. I am ready to take a leap of faith, and with His help and the prayers & support from my family and loved ones, I know that the future will be bright for…

SMOKIN CarriBBQ!!
This will be a mobile BBQ smokin' experience unlike any other! Our menu will include meats that are seasoned with spices from the islands and slowly smoked in our custom made wood-burning smoker. Our menu will also include dishes from the Caribbean to pay homage to my heritage. My parents were born and raised in Trinidad, and I wanted to incorporate our culture within our menu, along with other island vibes as well!
